New to courtenay comox area and looking to do some fishing

Just moved to the courtenay comox area and really wanna get a good taste of the fishing out here. If someone wants to help a guy out, as i don"t know anyone out here, some tips or techniques would be greatly appreciated someone to go with would be cool to!

I'm really into freshwater or saltwater just don't have the gear for saltwater fishing

Watch Ralph Shaw's column in the Friday CV Record.. Lots of good info there.. both salt and fresh.

maple lake is good for worm and bobber fishing and if you have a boat its good for trolling flatfish
