New shop for boat. Ideas on heating

Oh jeez... Wolf that brings back nightmares ! assembled a 24x32 last summer (also withhelp from buddy on here).... lot of trial and error as was first kick at it. Anyone putting one of these together, PM me.... can probably save you alot of headaches ! (and time.... next one would go up in 1/4 or less time than the first) :)

Surprised no one has suggested infrared heaters.
Don't heat the air but will heat you, and any surfaces that the infrared hits.
Just like they use at the outdoor seating areas, and even some commercial shops/garages where heated air would just escape when doors are opened.
Don't know efficiency ratings, but a portable unit can be moved about to where you are working.
I use a small one over my workbench - definitely a plus to being there.

I just finished insulating last week. Installed a 5000 w overhead electric. Works great. Didnt take much to keep it warm. Ill see how it goes on the hydro bill. Thanks

I just got back from taking pics today of shop.. Guess you don't need them now. Those fan electric heaters do work very well.
My side of the shop is 16x48= 768 sq ft with 14 foot ceilings. I have one 5000w Dayton heater, keeps it heated very well especially with the ceilng fans. My better half side is 48x26=1248 sq ft. and 12 foot ceiling. 2 Daytons in there, and we probably did not need that much. He said it heats up very quickly with the fans on those things and they are very quiet.
