Haha i have always wanted to use a harpoon aswell... If you stop the video at 5:00 you will notice a harpoon in my hand and a salmon bleeding from the gillplate. No correlation. Anyways glad someone enjoyed the vid. Unfortantly the gaff is being put away from now on and were going to lean more to C&R in the videos. Had alot of complaints from non fisherman that gaffing and bonking is to savage.

Wow, maybe they need to hike their skirt up a lil bit. Its not like those fish wouldnt be raped up by DFO if they had their way. And a gill net or seign would be a more humane way? I'd rather die in seconds rather than in hours.

Awesome vid Kelly, I look forward to the august stuff. WH in august is awesome, you should try casting for the coho on a light/medium action rod, it is a gas and a half.

Nice one Kelly. Very creative. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery -- so I hope you don't mind I'm going to steal your ideas for my videos.

re: gaffing/bonking. Working with different fishing websites, I've heard a few complaints over the years like this, mostly about bloody fish. I usually edit out the clubbing, then clean off the fish and show off the smiles and nice shiny prize. We live in a PC world eh...

Yes Very Nice. I have been doing the same and love the new camera. I have two videos from fishing charter trips one in renny and one just putting the final touches on from Sooke. Almost need to start a thread on forum members videos as I can imagine there will be plenty coming after this action packed summer.
