Put a new eye on my 10’ berkley technique
The first time I’ve done that ! Was kinda easy actually
Obviously not as nice as factory red one but hey it’s got new life and it’s a skill learned

i re did an old hali pole as all the epoxy was chipping off and threads were wrecked. i made a spinner using a bbq rotisserie. i bought this special epoxy that is long drying and flexible when dried. i was quite pleased with the results. in fact i believe it would have turned out nicer if i had let the epoxy run and cure and not tried to remove excess epoxy with a toothpick. those places looked kinda rough

Great way to get new life from an older pole
I just spun mine by hand and had my kid hold my level wind and used the drag to make it nice and tight
The epoxy was fine just have to be quick I put a little on the rod first to get it under the foot of the eye so it’s not just loose under it
