re: trophy 1802 stringers. I had heard that too about wood stringers, so called Karen at Olympic Boat Centre Everett:

1802 originally used yellow cedar enclosed by glass, then changed to another type of wood that is less water absorptive. But other than changing the type of wood product, no design changes since 8-9 years ago -- still wood stringers, not fibreglass. [I'd like to be proved wrong though, as much prefer fibreglass stringers to wood]

The Trophy 1902's have been redesigned with fibreglass stringers -- and she wasn't complimentary about the new design.
 
my mistake, after taking a closer look at the features grid,
it appears the 1802 is the only model that does not use fibreglass
stringer's[V]
Strange ....
 
Hey guys,..thanks for all the info...I know us albertans arn't all the popular out on the coast, but we too love to fish!!! I think I have settled on a Harbourcraft...Unless I can find a smoking deal on a glass boat.
