Mrs. Stewart’s Bluing

Anyone know where about I can find the Mrs. Stewart's bluing liquid in Victoria or South Island? Tried Save on Food, Super Store, Walmart, Canadian Tire,... but no luck!

Yes At Wise buys fishing tackle in Colwood or PNT. They do carry the Mrs. Stewart bluing liquid.

It's used all with Salt and a few other select substances in the brining of Herring & Anchovy.

since it is originally used as a laundry brightener

I've looked for it in quite a few stores too and never found it. Gave up after a while.

Unless the store is specifically importing it you won't find it anymore in Canada. I know PNT has imported a bunch - try there. Luckily I have a sister-in-law who loves to shop south of the 49th, so I have a large supply.
