Moving Battery Forward

My fishing buddy's boat is to heavy in the back. He wants to move his fuel and battery forward. Any tips or insights would be appreciated.

Uh, boat make and model? He'll need longer wires to reach the engine...

Lithium batteries are way lighter and if you know where to source, may be cheaper than extending the wires over the long term. Fuel lines on the other hand are cheap and a good thing to replace as they age anyways...
