Moderator Wanted

MyEscape

Active Member
Now this site has grown and due to the number of undesirables starting to spoil the foundation of this site I ask for the assistance of at least 1 more moderator as I will be announcing a new moderator on Monday but require 2. As I have said before it is an unpaid position and we cannot dedicate every waking moment to this site even if we enjoy what it has to offer. There will be new member filtering put in place soon which will help the major problem.
However we need some help.

Please dont even reply if you have not been a Member of this site for over 1 year and been a postive asset in your posts.

Warning if you troll on this post you will be removed from this site I have NO patience for trolls.

Thank-You
Cheers ME

ps No I am not retiring just looking for assistance continuing the growth of this site.

I would volunteer.

Also Deewar25 would be a good candidate and I am sure he would be happy to help out!

You need way more than 1 or 2 moderators to control a site like this. I am a moderator my self on a fta TV satellite forum and I know from experience there are many moderators needed to run an active forum. I highly recommend getting a team of mods together.
I'd be happy to be a part of that team.

Now as for structure.. MyEscape you should be a site administrator, have 1 or 2 members as super moderators, and have a team of moderators.. this is the usual set up that I normaly see in a controled forum..

yes, i'd be willing - I'm not the best fisherman here by a long shot, but am always around and have been moderator on other message boards for a few years. Email if you still need someone.

Also see this on the majority of other forums I've been on....

I belong to several other Large forums that are easily 100 times the size of sportfishing bc and they run very smoothly in comparison to the troubles noted on this site latley.
Some good suggestions above.
This site could and should easily make it to the next level under the right conditions.

Howdy,

I'll second Chris's offer. I have known him for less than a year but he is a Pacific salmon conservationist through & through. Some people you don't have to know for long to know what they're made of. He'd be an asset to this outfit.

Cheers,
Terry

As I mentioned before in having a team of moderators, I suggest having moderators assigned to specific areas, there are 5 categories to this forum, Saltwater fishing forum, General open forum, Fly fishing forum, Freshwater forum, Buy/sell/trade
You need a few moderators in each one of these categories and that they frequent that category on a regular basis.. no use having a bunch of moderators that only frequent the Saltwater fishing forum most of the time. I suggest you post this moderator wanted add in EACH of the Categories and get a few moderators from each category that way you have moderators that frequent each categories often...

I just wanted to express my gratititude to the current Moderators and the reat of you who are willing to step up. I may not post a lot, but I am here, everyday, and I appreciate having the Forum. I hope that in the future we can de-troll the sight and continue to experiance a great place to exchange ideas and information. Thankfully there are individuals willing to step up and maintain this sight. Cheers, I.I.

Hey Kev,

As you know, this Gun's For Hire. Intermittent, opinionated, and obstinate ('nother word for hard headed methinks) but can handle the odd problem...
