Has anybody used or tried the Matzuo Sickle hooks? If you have what do you think and what have you used them for?

I used them for tandem 5/0 anchovy rigs. Brand new they were fine. They don't stay red long, a few were flawed right out of the package. Preferable to trebles if releasing shakers and wild cohoes as we were off Uki in July. Put the lead hook right through and out the other side of the anchovy rather than embedding it as you would a treble.
Also used them with buzz bombs/zingers with the angle-cut bumper designed for snell-tied steelhead style(octopus?)hooks. Worked well for bottomfish. Barbless worked well when releasing black rockfish.

I've been using the Sickle siwash hooks this summer/fall with hootchies and bucktails. Largest size available was a 3/0. When fish were hooked, they stayed hooked. I understand 6/0 and 7/0 will be available by next year. I normally run a 6/0 Mustad on my gear with good hook-up ratios. The 3/0 seems to be a little small in the point/shank distance. The ones I was using rusted up in a week or so, but seemed to hold their point sharpness pretty well.
