There is Eldorado but get a real quote. As I was taken once by them. I have used Top Stitch and was very happy.... If they can not do it here in Courtenay they take the work to their CR shop.

It would be Top Stitch...They are in Tin Town. Sorry.... But..Eldorado no matter what Chris has done in the past..Even though he has screwed every one of us.... and does good work.He will Fck us over and over. It is time for a change.

Sorry Owen-- but have to disagree......
I have used Eldorado for a boat top and aftermarket heated leather seats for my wifes 2010 Santa Fe. I highly recommend Chris and his crew. Sure-- maybe you can get it cheaper somewhere else, but his workmanship is firstclass.

I don't know what you are disagreeing with Bryan.
Did I ever say he does bad work? In fact I said he does good work.
Did I say he was over priced? Maybe I should of.
After what he did in billing me one time I lost trust in him. So I did say to get a real quote...
Any one ever check the price of some of the stuff at Eldorado. Even Parker Marine is cheaper amagine that. Did anyone ever think that could be said about Parker...LOL

He has never screwed me AND I dont expect him too..... But it is a free country, and there is no forcing us to go anywhere.

I am not sure why the truth raises eyebrows. Maybe it should...I don't know
I have never said he does bad work.
He has done lots of work for me over the last 8 or 9 years. Even made a bed for me which I love.
But a couple of years ago I took a panel to him and It cost $40. He did such a good job I took the other panel to him and when I picked it up him wanted over $120 and refused to adjust his price. I even had the bill from the last panel he had just worked on. I also took a zipper job to him and he gave me a verbal price and when I picked it up it was almost double. Again he was not willing to adjust the price.
So get a quote in writing.
And if you need proofing spray for your boat top Parker Marine is $8 a bottle cheaper for the same bottle. Or at least it was a few months ago.
I have never had any problems with Top Stitch. Work was done on time and on price. I had no problems with them. I called them and set a time to meet on site. The job was done a couple days later and dropped off at my door.

I thought you were talking about Top Stitch....But you are right there is a guy that works out of his house. Someone I know said he was very cheap and did a great job. He used the old frame and recovered it.

wow what a debate over a simple question. Got hung up today but will do the driveby by wednesday.
I do think chris does excellent work. I was just a little surprised at the differences in quotes by the two businesses.

hey...chris is a relative of mine i'm in vic he did a top notch job of my grady's drop down canvas and enclosure. did cost some dough but i was extremely happy with the result. like others have mentioned get some quotes and see what others quality of work is like....just my 2 cents. best of luck.
