Two people are in hospital in Kamloops after a hotdog stand exploded outside a Canadian Tire on Saturday morning.
Kamloops acting assistant fire chief Brian Lannon said the two injured, the cart owner and a passerby, are in stable condition.
He said firefighters received a call shortly after 11 a.m. About a hot dog stand on fire. When they arrived the flames had already been extinguished by staff from the Canadian Tire.
Lannon said the cause of the explosion is still under investigation, but he believes it may have been related to a propane tank.
The two injured people were transported by ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital. The BC Safety Authority is also investigating the incident.
