Mainland to Island Transport companies

Hey guys I have a small packaged I need to ship to the island from the surrey area. Was quoted $50 by ACE courier Bus. to Residential. Seems pretty pricey, its under a lb and fits in an envelope.

Does anyone ship regularly across the straight, if so who has the best rates.

That quote seens wrong. I have never paid $50 to ACE. I even shipped and Kitchen Aid mixer from Burnaby to Courtenay for less. Have you tried Depot to Depot delivery with them it like $15. They do charge COD charges which can cost you more. I just send items using cash.

Thanks FA. Ya ACE tacks on $20 for res. delivery. depot to depot you are right, is about $15 or so. But trying to limit travel for both parties.

DHL loomis will usually do it for about 10-15 bucks

I am in surrey right now. And headed back to the island sunday. Where are you sending it? If its between nanaimo and campbell river I could run it across for you.

thanks Lorne. Wicked offer for sure, but I've already placed the pick-up order. $23 incl tax Loomis. I guess I could have called transport companies all day for the best price but this was close enough.
