Lowrance Sonic Hub install HELP!

I have done everything and still cannot get my sonic hub to initialize with my Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 2. Has anyone had any experience installing one?

I have installed everything as directed (I think!) including NMEA bar, yellow wires connected, etc, etc. I have checked all my power connctions and have 13V at the amp and the NMEA bar.

I have enabled audio as directed in the manual and all I see is a big black bar at the bottom of my screen saying initializing sonic hub......I am tearing my hair out, please help!

I'm just about to install mine as well. Just a couple of thoughts. Have you updated your HDS to the latest software? If so maybe try doing a soft reboot of the HDS. Do you have a terminal end on your NMEA?

Thanks for the reply. I have terminal ends on my NMEA bar, and have rebooted my HDS and installed the latest software. I feel like I have done everything....but obviously I am missing something here.

Maybe you shouldn't have left so many brain cells behind in Nootka! You might be able to figure it out!

Looking forward to Monday.... don't worry my rig is 100%.... finally.

Maybe talk to Sculpin on this forum as he installed a pretty top shelf Lowrance system in his rig recently. Outside of that HC in Nanaimo is supposed to be the place to go. I don't suppose you want to give Harry a whirl? Or perhaps talk to the guys at Sherwood?

Ps if the place that you bought it at are not helping any, I would raise a stink. Maybe even take it back and buy it at HC. It is all out of the box new, I think the guys over there realize that it is a small town... did they not step up at all?
