I was wondering the same thing? I think the one with the extra antenna is to add a Bluetooth signal where the HDS Carbon and Live already have Bluetooth so it should work. I could however be completely wrong.

It’s good for marking spots and man over board. Other than that it gets in the way of my other remote that I use to steer.
