Hey Guys,

Have a buddy who is wanting to get out for a few hours and introduce his kid (6 yrs old) to fishing. Any ideas/lakes/systems in the lower mainland or Whistler corridor he could take him for a few hours?

I know there is Murrin Lake right on Hwy 99....but I really don't much about the freshwater scene.

Murrin is you best bet earlier in the day-too many swimmers after about 11 though.

Then there's the Cheakamus River especially around the bailey bridge -the actual Squamish is often too coloured up/high this time of year.

Scott....

Anywhere along the Fraser will catch him bottom fish....tons of them, lots of action and fun on a kids small rod. Buy some worms and away you go!
