Looks Like Ill be Blown Off The Water This Morning! How To Help Predict?

I had Planned on heading out this morning if the wind was cooroperating which is doesnt appear to be! :(
(no surprise)
I was wondering what "area" We are concidered to be in off Sooke regarding the coastguard Marine weather synopsis?
I have asked a couple people, Both with differnet answers!
When im listening to VHF weather channel 3. Should I be focused on the forcast for "westcoast of vancouver island south"
OR "Juan De Fuca Straight" ?
I tried to find a map on google to get a 100% sure answer, but couldnt find one.
Can anybody help me out? (and back up there answer with a link)
Thanks Guys and Gals!
.....Maby ill get a crab pot out today!

Google "the weather office". It is the enviroment canada website. On the home page is a map of canada with a small boat of the bc coast that says marine info. Click on the boat. The next page is the map of canadas marine areas. Click on where you want to look. It will zoom in on your area and it shows exactly wherethere boudrys are for there forecast areas

You will find that there is quite a difference between NOAA's and Enviroment Canada's reports...

Big wave is great, the wind models are good too!

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up heading out to seek shelter on the east side of otter point, and ended up goin for it, And tried a bit farther west. Got a 40, and a 12 to the boat. My First halis ever!!!!!!!
