Where are you located? I have a couple of Hardy silex superbas I could part with......a couple 4`` and a 3.5. No beauty queens, very well fished, lotso fish catchin` karma attached to these.

thiinking about selling my calcutta 400b on a 10'6" fenwick hmx, bought it 2 seasons ago, rod last season .... just bought a centerpin last year and never use the levelwind anymore

I have a Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Black Max 6600W that I bought about 12 years ago when living on the Skeena. I used it for a season, then have used it about 5 times since. It's on a 10.5 ft casting rod-possibly a Fenwick. I'd let the package go for $100.

Raven has some nice reliable affordable reels. I have pounded many chunks and still works like the day I bought it!

You might catch a few more fish with a level wind(more casts). I got a silex in 1980 and wouldn't use anything else for winter steelhead, unless i am fly fishing.
