Looking for new boat 8-18k

that's a very good price for that boat. I gave up on looking at Arimas, because they were too expensive. The people who like Arimas love them, that one won't be there long.

Below are a bunch of links I used for boat shopping. I was looking for a Trophy 1802, so some of them are specific to that type of boat.

In Google, type in following, with whatever terms you are looking for in brackets. This searches ALL craigslist sites for that term:
site:craigslist.org (trophy 1802)
site:craigslist.org (trophy 18)
site:craigslist.ca (trophy 1802)
site:craigslist.ca (trophy 18)

Good luck!

thanks juandesooka! I hear alot of bad things about trophys but all owners i have talked to love them. The layouts what catches me i like the setup. Definatly looking at them but most up here are 20k with bad power. I bet the arimas already got people lined up.

Trophy gets a lot of bad press for sure, but as you say, people I know that have them seem to like them. I think some of the bad rep might be Bayliner in general, which turns out some crappy cheap boats at the low end of their line (brand new 17' bowrider with small inboard and trailer, $12k, that's cheap....but get what you pay for?). I think Trophy is their higher end line.

I like the layout too, for their walkaround cuddys, similar to Arimas and to Campion 542, which is what I eventually bought.

We have a Campion 542 2004 400 hours, All options, Mint Condition 115Hp Yamaha,8Hp Yamaha kicker, Lowrance GPS , fishfinder Hummingbird, Standard Horizon VHF, 2 Scotty electric downriggers, dual batteries,Travel Cover, Galvanized trailer/spare, ezee steer, porta potties, raw water washdown, plus others, can e-mail jolzee@sunlite.ca for price and pic's

Hi Time

Yup, that Arima site's a good one...not just for buying, but for support once bought. I found it a really great community, nice to see. (thanks for heads up, I'll remove my wanted ad)

Sadly, the Arimas I could afford were smaller than I wanted, and the ones big enough came with too big a price tag. So I went with Campion 542, 1998, got what I think is a pretty good deal in Washington.

And good thing I didn't stretch the budget on the initial purchase, because when you start adding in all the gear you want (need?), it sure starts adding up quick....ca-ching, ca ching, ca-ching. When all's done, I'll have a pretty good boat, all geared up for the dwindling salmon...then another 2 foot upgrade so I can chase tuna... The somewhat true joke being I was planning my motor upgrade before I even owned the boat!

Back to you Kelly....words of warning for the upgrade...

;)

Bump still looking. Thanks for all the sites ive been keeping an eye on them daily but the perfect boat hasnt popped up yet. Might end up going to the states seen some nice arimas for 10-15k

Kelly....
See my ad , couple down, 17'8" centre console/115HP main & 7.5 Kicker

how about a 20 foot Boston Whaler Revenge on a trailer with 225 hp merc and kicker, downriggers, GPS. It is at the high end of your price list, but it is a Boston Whaler!
