Looking for a charter the weekend of May 26 2012 Vic/Sooke

Well, I'm getting married and I'm having my bachelor party in Victoria. We want to go fishing for a day but the problem is there might be 10 guys so we might need 2 boats. Maybe a little fishing tournament between boats. Just curious if you guys know of any charters in the Victoria/Sooke area that could arrange something like this. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

keep in mind at that time we will likely be in a very frustrating no wild salmon slot restriction.....can essentially only keep hatchery and if I recall the timing, you won't have great luck finding many hatchery in sooke...I think Victoria/Oak Bay had better odds around then but perhaps some others can clarify. Perhaps stick with halibut (assuming open)...much more suitable for sitting around and getting hammered anyway!

Looking back last year at the reports, seems late may / early june was steady for halibut and hot & cold for salmon ... some really good days for teen size springs. So Constance might be a good bet? Though I'm sure Sooke would deliver a good time too. As well, sometimes the early season fishing out of Renfrew can be really good, though that's a long way to go.

A day out with buddies fishing, pretty much a can't-lose no matter what happens. The combination of heavy drinking and ocean swells ... someone will be chumming, and that just adds to the fun for everyone else. ;-)

That time frame has been excellent salmon fishing off Constance for 3 years in a row. Or like the rest of the guys said great timing for halibut!

whats the clipped ratio like that time of year Trev? I know Sooke is pretty lousy but recall much more hanging out to the east.

Definitely more clipped springs over off Victoria and Oak Bay at that time.

well, ive got a ton of great offers. Just have to finalize how many people will be coming. looks to be more along the lines of 12, so 3 boats might be needed. we shall see!! thanks for the help.
