Alright, a good friend just informed me that he will be in Tofino with his girlfriend in August. I want to get up there to visit and maybe get some fishing in too. Maybe even bring my boat....first thing to sort out is a place to stay. Initial research isnt promising - booked! Anyone know of any low key unkown b&bs or cottage or something in Tof for the Aug 9, 10, 11 nights? Two adults only. Thanks. Sorry, I thought that was the long weekend, but its actually the weekend after.

Cox Bay Resort is killer! Townhouse type places privaty own and rented out. But pimp! nice common areas and hottub right on beach...killer prices off season.

Thanks Fishtofino, that worked great! Got a reply from probably 25 places, and have booked a great B&B. Cheers.

you make my advice sound like **** by a long shot :p cox bay is awesome! suite was the nicest place ive ever stayed anywhere. shoot I shoulve kept what suite number it was lol. brand spankin new all stainless appliances, full size gas stove...all dishes pans etc, awesome firm memory foam mattress, washer/dryer, flagstone/wood bathroom with huge soaker tub... 99 or 129 a night winter rate I think summer weekend rate are something like 425 a night. awesome common areas if you have a bunch of people.

It might be great advice if they had availability. This is the thing with TOFINO in the summer. Ya have to take what you can get if you are booking late for the summer season. Fishtofino and myself are both accommodation providers here so we likely agree it is the best advice if you want to have a chance at any selection this late in the game.
Nothing wrong with cox.

lol I agree his advice was good. interesting and very smart method of finding accommodations. I find you really have to look into what your getting, oh by the way the second bedroom is a loft and you have to climb a ladder...(that was a ukee place) Places always seem a million times better then what they are. Cox was the opposite seemed ok but was great.
