Well folks it's that time of the year when I am getting ready to fork out more bucks for the boat.
I need to replace a couple of lifejackets and I see that Mustang is offering deals on theirs.
What I need is one that is comfortable and light and can be worn all day long, even in hot weather.
Anybody got any views on these or other makes.( Anyone know what DFO uses?
Thanks

Just make sure the fabric around the neck doesn't have potential to chafe. Then decide whether you want auto, manual or interchangeable inflate.
Picture an auto inflate inside a capsized cabin if you have a cabin as part of the decision making.
I have an open boat with 4 different Mustang models. I wear one all day every time.

Of the 4 different models,do you have a ‘go to’ one?

I just replaced my old one with a new MIT 150 convertible auto/manual inflate. The 150 model has 38 lbs. of buoyancy which is recommended for offshore use as it can keep your head out of water in rougher water. I like the choice between auto and manual inflate as I do have a cabin boat.

I wear this one because it would be embarrassing to make someone else have to deal with the grime and sweat stains. Made in Canada 2017 w/soft neck and auto inflate. Guests get the others. Only 2 have soft necks. Sorry, model numbers must be in the user manual and who knows where they might be. The one I got last summer is convertible and made in China and also a soft neck with 33.6 lbs of buoyancy.
