Finally the draws are out. OMG Son drew grizz, looks like a long boat ride followed by some climbing/walking. Good job the hardtop will be ready for kayak and gear. Yipee

Not saying specifics, too risky? Think 150km+ by water north of North Island. Hope ocean is calm and yes time spent with son will be a good time.

Sounds like a great trip is in the future. Good luck and make sure to let us know how things turn out.

How come so secret about the m-u? Lots of hunters on this site too. I put in for grizz this fall too. Got my elk leh in 2-5

Dall Sheep. Partner missed, but goats are open. Likely access via the Yukon should we go...

Up for Muley, Moose & Elk in Alberta this year.
And of course the regular Russian Roulette attempts for fall BC.

Shot a few Dalls already, and of course all the rest I'll be trying for (If Rosie comes along, ALL else falls by the wayside...)
And I have a Real Hankering for a 200+ inch Muley...

So I guess it will a depend on what happens with the other draws before I commit..,.
That said, I already have "Eyes On The Ground" for the Dall... ;)

Good Luck on the Grizz Halimark!!

Cheers,
Nog

Thanks guys, will do an after hunt report. I shot a monster in Northern BC last year, its Sons turn for the coastal bear. I had the canyon sheep last year, nice ram day 5. Using lots of LEH luck in the last couple years. Yes to no road areas I boat or walk but odds are odds. Fixit - No specifics as that has bit my butt over the years. Tell or take a friend to your honey spot, then some time later he and his other friends have a full camp set up in your spot. (you know who you are) Or take a guy hali fishing then next good tides he is in his other buddy's boat anchored on the same dam spot. Sorry no specifics.

I hear you on that one. I had a moose hunting spot in the Caribou. Been hunting there for many years and have basically seen no one in this specific area. It was a great place, and we always got our animals. Took a family member in with us and the next year him and a friend were there. The next year, him, his friend and two others were there. The year after there were several camps from our home town hunting there. Coincidence, I think not. I know my hunting buddies and myself never told anyone and this place isn't easy to find. Never been back there and it pisses me off to no end. Never hunted with him again. Ohhhh, and he won't be fishing with me either.
