Lead Moulds

[Fishing Guide]

Cheers All,

Looking to purchase lead jig moulds for salmon and halibut. Let me know what you have ( a picture of the finished lure would work the best) and how much money for the mould. Would also be interested in renting a mould to pour a season's worth of jigs.

Hi Fishing Guide, We use to make our own molds using plaster of paris. Or you can use powdered floor patch. Go to the store.... pick out your fav jig, copy it and make as many as you want. We use to spend hours making them and painting them. First time we took them out we went jigging near the kelp beds and first fish caught on our jigs was a 20 pound spring.... a lot of fun making your own. Great idea S.R.
I picked up a one each of 4 sizes of these in Hawaii. Coho loved the smaller ones and lings and other bottom creatures ate the big ones. They seemed to catch best and snag least tying to the eye where the hook is attached. Way cheaper than the Shimano butterfly jigs.
