Kite-Tail Flashers....

Used a couple of these on the weekend..........looked pretty good in the water, although leaders need to be much shorter than usual......think 26 to 28" for a hoochy.

Anybody here used them yet?

There is an operation called Great Sea Adventures that runs charters out of French creek that endorses these flashers on the Kite-tail site.

But beware....when you go on Great Sea Adventures site you will be attacked by malicious virus....

Happened to me twice......but Norton blocked it.

Designed by a commercial friend of mine out of Tofino. They sure work!

Ran them a couple times this year... found I was catching smaller springs on them..the other gear i was running was catching the bigger fish... :)

Hmmm....

They have way less drag and you can control the roll speed easy with the choice of 3 holes in the back.

That said:- we were up at the Little Q and absolutely nothing worked for us in 4 hours of fishing.

Did not see much at all on the finder except shakers etc.

Quite a few boats up there later on........we did not see a single fish on or caught by anybody.

Maybe others did better later on....I don't know.

Trolling was tough as there was a huge pool of weed floating around that area.

Tried 50ft to 220ft deep of water.

If the fish are stacking up there I don't know where.........other than way out in deep water.

Just never got inner "good vibes" about the place on that day.

Usually I change lures after about 45 minutes if they aren't working.

For some reason I decided to fish the "Qualicum killer" version:- pink mini hoochy inside a Purple Haze regular hoochy all day. Tried a couple of spoons too and one other hoochy.
Whatever everyone else was using wasn't working either it seemed...

well thats good too know thx for the info Seafever anybody ever try chums around the river in late oct nov?? we always go up to Browns but have always wanted to try right here

Discus......nothing comes cheap in the boat and fishing world.....

I paid $12.99 apiece for 'em at Pac Net in Parksville.....

LordOf The Springs:- Guys flyfish for Chum in the Little Q if regs permit it then...but as far as trolling goes, it seems they don't bite much if at all from everything I've ever heard......
