Keep that freezer cold!!!

Been a great year for big slabs & theres going to be a lot fish in the deep freeze awaiting processing for awhile.
Most freezers sit in a dark corner somewhere & the control knobs are hidden & forgotten.
Crank her down to rock bottom. Your fish should sound like you're hitting a block of wood when you rap them with your knuckles. If they don't then recharge or replace the old clunker. The fish will stay fresher five times longer![:p]

Agreed, i keep mine at around -25. Fridge freezers are someing like -15c which is not cold enough. Somewhere i read that the fish oils in the meat need to be at least -20c to stabilize for long term freezing.
