Hello everyone,
I have a for sale ad for my DOUBLE EAGLE, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to upload the photos as they are JPEG.
Any advise would help!
Thanks, Brian.

I have the same problem with my iphone 10, the way around it that i have found is to take the original picture and take a screen shot of it by pressing the side buttons. I makes the resolution less and makes the upload small enough for forum to process

OK Here you go.

They're hosted on an outside webhost so I'm pretty sure you can just right click/get the URL and paste them into a post on the Buy/Sell Forum if that doesn't work for you get back to me and I'll do it-anyway these might not be in the right order for you.

I did exactly what you suggested and this is the message that I get.....

Text your pics to your email address, open your laptop, save them to your pictures, then upload a file to whichever thread.
Cell phones are for teenagers unless your wife is on the other end in which case it's best to reply or talk.

I'm pretty sure a person has to have a certain number of posts before they can add pics it's an 'anti-spam feature'.

Anyway Brian if you put a picless post on the Buy/Sell forum with all the details I'll add the pics later today-Mods must be busy elsewhere.

Just had a chance to read through this thread. The reason you are not able to upload by copying the URL from another website host is because you haven't posted before in the forum. This is an anti-spam feature to keep unwanted links to content or products from cluttering up the threads, by people trying to sell all kinds of assorted crap. As Dogbreath suggests, you can create the text for your sale then add the photos. To do that, if you have the photos saved on your laptop or desktop, simply click on the "Upload a File" tab in the lower right corner of the text box area. You will then see a box with "Choose File" on your screen. Click on that and it should open up to your saved files where you can choose a picture you want to upload. Highlight the picture, by clicking on it to highlight it, and then select "Open" to upload it. When it has uploaded to the forum you will see a small thumbnail with the words "Thumbnail" and "Full image" beside it. Simply set your cursor where you want the picture to sit in the body of your post and click on full image. It will now appear the way Dogbreath uploaded them earlier in this thread.

One caveat to all this. There is a file size restriction for photos of 3MB or a recommended size of 1980 X 1280 pixels. If the file size is bigger than that you can resize them by using a program like "Paint" for this purpose, if you are on a laptop or desktop. You can determine the file size by simply hovering your cursor over the picture in your saved files. It will show the dimensions as something like 3028 X 2560 as an example. To reduce the size you can right click on the photo and you will see a menu of options, one being "Open With." Move your cursor to that spot and an additional menu will appear with options of programs you can select for manipulating your pictures. I use Paint for the purpose of resizing. When you click on Paint, your photo will open up in the program and you will see a menu bar along the top with Resize as one of your options. Click on Resize and a box will appear with options to resize by Percentage or Pixels. Click in the small circle above pixels and it will show you the dimensions of your photo. To adjust your photo to a size that will fit the forum, simply change the numbers to meet the requirements for the forum. I usually choose 1200 for the horizontal pixel number and the vertical will automatically adjust to maintain the aspect ratio of your photo. When you have adjusted the pixels, click on the OK button at the bottom of the resizing box and your photo will now be resized. To save the new sized photo, click on File in the upper left corner, then save as, then JPEG photo and rename the file to whatever you want and click save. Your photo will now be sized appropriately for the forum upload requirements.

If you are using your phone to post, the easiest way to do this is how Jeffywestcoast suggested in an earlier post. The phone will automatically resize the photo to be stored in a smaller format to save on data usage and will then work in the forum.

I know this sounds complicated when you read through it but it is really simple once you have done it a couple of times. It only takes a minute to resize your photos once you are familiar with the process.

If you have any questions or require further assistance just let me know.

Upload the image of any format on the imgur.com and pasting the link to it here is always viable option on any forum!
