IUCN says B.C. sockeye heading toward extinction

Read the following articlce from an international organization that tracks Salmon population trends. The article is from this weeks Vancouver Sun, and is more evidence that local Salmon stocks are severely threatened.

Uff that is depressing. Hard to believe the Fraser used to hold the largest salmon run of any river in the world.

Just like the latest article in the Vancouver Sun says

"Nothing short of an outraged public concerned with the fate of the salmon will get both the government of Canada and the B.C. government to do the right thing by the fish."

I encourage us all to make this both a federal and provincial election issue. I have and so can the rest of us!
