Comment: Anchorages threaten fishing at Constance Bank
The bank forces deep, nutrient rich waters upward, which creates valuable fishing habitat for halibut, salmon, and other species of groundfish.

Don't know if there are other posts on this. If I read this correctly the liberals want to transfer responsibility for the Constance bank anchorage from Transport Canada to the Vancouver Port Authority, which has a ban on all fishing in their big ship anchorages. So if they are able to get away with this, there could be no more fishing permitted in an incredibly important fishing grounds for first nations and Victoria area fisherman.
