iPhone Navionics VS iPad Navionics

I have had an iPhone for years and been using the Navionics app. It's a great backup. I just got an iPad and noticed the NavionicsHD app is $55. A lot more $$$$ than the iPhone ($15). I put the iPhone app on my iPad and noticed that it doesn't look that great.

My question is, has anybody compared the 2, or have experience with the iPad version? Is it worth the $$$$$?

Once I updated the app on my pad it looks like I have a 3D/HD version and all I have is the original $10 version I bought for my phone. It shows mountains and roads. I can even use it on streets and zoom in on my house. I have not paid anything more then the original $10

Slightly off topic, but related. Is there a way to transfer all my markers (locations I have or want to fish etc.) that I've entered on my iPad, to my iPhone Navionics App?

Do I have to reinvent the wheel and enter all the lat/long again?

Big Green, I did the same thing. Here's how my kids told me to fix it. Go into settings and then the App Store, turn ON the automatic downloads for apps and give it a few minutes and the should transfer info back and forth. Do it for both devices. This way if you add or change on the ipad it will be on your phone, and visa versa.

Big green. All you have to do is go into settings in the app and make a Navionics account, and turn on "sync my data to all my devices". Also, if you don't want to share your favorite spots with the world make sure you don't have share with the community turned on.

Thanks fish tank. Was going to get a lifeproof and Bluetooth GPS and do the same thing.

I use a griffin survivor case and a ram mount its not 100% waterproof but it do isn't get wet in the pilot house and it was only $50. got the navigation upgrade for 5.99 so you can plot a course.havent got a external gps yet been useing just the 3G been ok so far in renfrew except recently it messed up for a few minutes next year I'm getting a external gps

What is actually need to be able to use the iPad in your boat? I fish out of Renfrew and would like to give it a try. My pad is pretty basic though so not sure that I have everything that would be needed to work it. No 3G etc.

Without the 3G u would need a external gps and then buy the $50 ipad app

Same here, I wonder if there is really that much of a difference in the iPhone version vs. the iPad one.
