Thank you I wondered about that reel I purchased still new in its mailing box at a second hand store and never had line on it ever.
Interested hobby.
How many reels do you own?
Do you ever fish with them?
Are they still original technology when you buy a current version today?
How much did you buy that reel for?
What would that reel in the photo go for?
Cool hobby. I collect knifes, randomly started cause I had a couple. Now I have 50 or so.

I have over 200 reels(fly,spin cast,bait cast,salmon,halibut etc)all are operational but I only use a few.If time permits I want to catch a fish with each one and take a picture of the reel and fish before releasing.The Peetz in the picture was donated to the thrift shop and I paid $65 for it in its original packaging.They still make these reels in Victoria BC and haven’t changed too much but they improved the drag system.A lot of people on the coast still use them and they make a unique sound when the line is taken out.A new reel like this with the improvments would be $329.
