If You Could Live Anywhere

If money, employment, family, etc where not issues, and you could choose anywhere along the West Coast to live for optimal fishing and foraging, where would you choose and why?

Lol, I asked this same thing a few years ago, asking for east coast of Van Isle locations though, with a few geographical exclusions. I am originally from the island. Lots of great responses.

Out of reply comparison interest here is the one I posted a few years ago:

If that covers all of the west coast of North and South America I would choose Republic of Chile,

What a place to retire and spend your last day's fishin... have a look below.
This place would be heaven to me.

When Ed McMan finally give's me my PCH cheque or the lottery come in I'm outta here!!!

We just bought a lot in Garden Bay. Love the area and people. We have been going every summer for years. Weather is good, decent fishing with good prawning.

Next step is to build a place.

Pretty much anywhere between Halfmoon Bay and Pender Harbor, with an emphasis on Francis Peninsula. I'd go tomorrow but I'd be solo...we have a small beach house just past roberts creek and I'd prefer to be further up the coast, ideally with some moorage out front. I've been looking and want to pick something up with a tear down and build down the line. Meanwhile, stuck in the gd city...

For me it would be Tofino......Kyuquot would be great but the winters would be a tough slug.
Unless you're a hard core surfer it's not so great. Also the health care is lacking with 2nd rate doctors

Our friends just had their home build by Jenkins and were super happy with them. In sharp contrast, our neighbors had another coast builder do their 3200 Sq ft home while still living in Toronto. Needless to say it took a full year for framing only...on a flat lot. They were a full mill over budget and had to dump it a lot a big loss. Oops.
