Does anyone know where to get ice in the Nanaimo area? I am going into Kyuquot on Sat. Usually I buy my ice at Boatland in Campbell River but since they moved, you can only get ice during business hours. I plan on going through CR at 6-7 AM so ice sales will not be open yet. They don't open until 9 AM. I would like to find someone in Nanaimo to buy ice from on Fri night so that I can leave early. Anyone?

French Creek Seafoods? This is the only place I know selling salt ice. Between Courtenay and Nanaimo.

I've been away fishing for 3 weeks but up until I left, Hub City and Sea Drift were not selling ice due to their high volume of fish being processed. I had to go to French Creek to get ice. They start ice sales at 9 AM. Good salt ice and cheaper than in Nanaimo when it is available. I filled up two 150 litre chests and one 60 litre chest for $37.00

Been turned away once already from French creek a couple weeks ago..the same thing high volume...they are your best bet..Best value is buy a whole tote...$40 bucks and you can fill about 5 -150 liter cooler ...I then bag the extra in fish bags and into my freezer & now I have a back up
