I just might make the Awards in Nanaimo yet

You should just postpone. The airport is closed with major damage. Come down in November and we can go fishing
 
Thankfully we had trip insurance.... and I dont think RCI will have trouble booking us into another resort in November. May see you there yet FishTofino!!! Owen-- great guy that you are........sorry!! LOL
 
Odile was really tough on Cabo-all the arroyo's are running full-if you've never seen it -it is a sight you'll never forget. Hurricane lost a little strength as it got up to our house in Los Barriles-totally cut off north and south, phones. electricity all out-not as bad as Hurricane John . Take awhile to clean this up-Cabo airport is a real mess-Be a few days before limited flights resume. We have out fingers crossed and hope for only a little water damage. Thank God for concrete buildings and Hurricane shutters!!!
 
I have been told that the resort we had booked will not be repaired for a couple of months. I have been busy cancelling reservations right now. Maybe in the spring we will head south. Bummer that Alaskan Airlines will not refund. All they will give is a partial voucher that will not be honoured by other airlines. And they will charge us a $200/ticket change reservation fee...

BUT-- we bought trip insurance, so other than a bunch of extra paperwork, we will do OK. Not so good for many of the citizens of the area... A lot of people lost everything. Spring fever-- hope things do work out for you.
 
Thanks for that CL-been told everything looks ok outside-probably a little water inside-fingers crossed-not as bad as Cabo or the airport.
