For all of you that knew of ol Ron Ronach he was a very good freind and mentor of mine it is with great sadness to inform you all that he finally is fishing in the big pond above. he passed the other day.

When I first started guiding many many years ago he took me under his wing and would talk to me at length sitting in his or my boat over a bevie down at sunny shores. we had many laughs he will be missed by a lot of us.
RIP my friend.

Sorry for the loss of your friend Roy. It's those guys that take the time to teach us and are good teachers that we remember the most.

That is very sad news. Ron was a great guy, even keeled, always up, had a good sense of humour and wouldn't say **** if his mouth was full of it. A true gentleman. He will be missed but always remembered.

Damn...
Always shared info, especially if you did the same in return.
Had the pleasure of fishing with him a couple times and he was a true gentleman
Kept the yellow Zeta in top form and was always a pleasure to look at. (The boat ;))

RIP Ron

Well said,Profisher. I've known Ron for many years as well. Always friendly and willing to share info. Hell of a good guide
as well. Haven't seen him for a while as I moved away from Sooke in the late 90's but will miss him just the same.
