Humminbird helix 5

Anyone using this plotter/sounder ?
Trying to determine if navionics chip is compatible.
Looking for opinions

I run this unit, Scott. I’m 90% certain it’s navionics software in it. I pulled the sd card to have a look to check of it says navionics on it as I don’t have the unit powered up right now to check for sure. It doesn’t say navionics, it just says “Scandisk”, the maker of the as card itself.

Mine is pretty old now though, like about 7 years. I bought it at Trotac, it came with the sd card and maps loaded at time of purchase which I’m reasonably certain it’s Navionics.

A google search told me that Navionics works in helix 5.

The knock on the helix 5 for me is the font on the contour lines is not the best for my almost 62 year old eyes. haha
