How to Rig a 3rd Dowrigger

Let me expand on this topic a little.... 60" riggers vs. 30" riggers on the sides... If im running a 3rd rigger out the back (60 ofcourse).. Do I really need 60"riggers on the sides or are my 30" good enough.. Given its a 9ft beam at the transom... Ive got 4 30" DR's really dont want to buy 60's if I dont need to... plus I hate reaching for that clip all day... any thoughts??

60's are nice for doing turns, helps keep the line away from the boat.
You can just buy different arms for your 30's or have them made up - but you could probably sell them and buy 60's off craigslist or usedvic for the same price.

You can definetly buy new 60" arms for your scotty down riggers. I just did this last year. I think they were $125 a pcs much cheaper than buying new riggers.

Sounds like its worth a call... Thanks..

Yup, called.. its $130 each, to have 60" booms installed.... 1"1/4 diameter
