How do you stop Barnacle bill and his buddies growing all over your lower engine, trim tabs etc in yearly moorage?

Are you leaving it in all year with just a March/June application? How thick are you leaving it on. On a kid a little goes a long way ;). I'm assuming you want to try to put some kind of layer on there.
I put it on in march and then just touch up again in june . yes it almost lasts the whole year and reapply again ... works great on my trim tabs. I put it on pretty thick
I used to put a thin layer on my outdrive . worked great best part when I power washed it clean looked like a brand new drive again clean as a babys bottom LOL

Would ceramic type wax work? For some strange reason, I took the prop off my motor cleaned it and put a couple of coats of ceramic wax on it. When the weather gets nicer, the motor comes out from my living room, onto my diy outboard stand where I can work on it and see if it works.

Oh, I remember now, owners manual says to polish with car wax.
Plus I was bored.

Diaper cream for the win.

I'll report back in a few months. Put it on both boats.

Old thread I know. How did the cream work?

How about on the fibreglass part? Anybody have suggestions beyond a heavy coat of wax? Looking for a tip, trick or hack for my non bottom painted trailer queen glass boat that is now looking to be sitting in the salt for 2-3(??) weeks at a time in spring/summer.
I had a layer of turtle wax on it and it was in for 6 weeks. That’s clearly too long as it took me 4 hours of scrubbing and power washing to get it clean. I’m lying on the floor typing this out as my back is screaming from the effort. Need to modify my strategy.
Bottom paint may be coming … but I’d like to avoid it.

@Pearl dog yes it works quite well but only for so long. I had one boat in for about 3 months and after it was easy to power wash. I had another in for 6 months and it was better than nothing but some ended up growing but power washed works.

I use antifouling paint on all the boats. 2-3 weeks the diaper cream will work for those areas I showed but your fiberglass I would get something else.

Does the wax work on transducers.Affect the quality of the signal?

I never had issues with the diaper cream on transducer. I'm all almost 3.months on and looks good.

Replace your zincs and put on the cream!
