any of the engines on the market today are an excellent choice, hard to go wrong with any of them.
Go with the engine that has the best service/dealer for you

For what it's worth, i run a 50hp Honda on my boat, my buddy runs a 50 hp Yamaha on his.
We're both very happy with the performance and economy these motor's
provide.
I think warranty and service are the key.

I ran a 90hp honda for about 4 years....I LOVED IT. I will say I don't think they are as "snappy" as the yammies but it was for sure better on fuel then my buddies...we has the same boat. No hassels, worry free. I would go back to a Honda in a second!!!

I have a 115 yam on my Malibu 182 and I love it.Great on gas,it's very quiet and starts with a flick of the key.Did I mention it was great on fuel?oh yes I did.LOL
