no I get nothing when I turn the key is power at the starter thanks

Well if your stuck on the road with only a couple tools a hammer to knock the starter and possibly push past a hard spot or a screw driver to jump the terminals between the main post and the signal post on the solenoid

Or even a set of jumper cables on the battery then run them under the truck to power the starter separately if they are long enough.

do you get a click or anything? Dimming lights? Etc

So do you blow any fuses or do you hear or see sparks? If the start is piled and drawing huge amperage then that would def act like a dead short.

I pulled the starter and the ground wire on the starter was loose this seems to have solve the problem thanks Art
