Help with buying a dodge diesel in Mission

I'm currently looking at buying a Ram 2500 diesel from a dealer in Mission but I live in Northern BC. Can anyone recommended a good 3rd party place who are good with diesels in the area to have the vehicle inspected? I'm not really one for trusting a dealerships word and don't want to pay for a flight just to be sadly disappointed.
Any diesel/dodge gurus on here who would be willing to have a look at this thing prior to me flying down to have a look myself? Will gladly pay for your time.

Thanks.

I dont have that kind of money for those problems anyways. If the 2012s weren't selling for as much as the newer ones I'd just find one of them with low km.

I would take into account k's my son has the 6.7 and his tranny cooked was a serious bill to get back on the road. Tranny shop said 230K plus the tranny is on borrowed time and that repair is on your door step.

I have 475,000km on my 2012 Ram 3500. Rebuilt the tranny at 250,000km. It hasn't shown any signs of failing but I guess I'm right at the 230K mark lol. It did get a better torque converter on the last rebuild (that's what went the first time) along with everything else and I have the deeper BD Diesel oil pan.

My repair was $6,000 last time so probably $10,000 now to have a shop do it.. Now that I have space and a commuter car, I'd rebuild it myself if it ever goes again.

I've driven a 2007.5 3500 6.7 with a 68rfe deleted and chipped for 350k now. I've beat the **** out of it and all I've thrown at is is wheel bearings, breaks and power steering boxes.

We can flame dodges all we want but it's the devil I know!

Noluck is going to help me out. Appreciate the help Dave!!

Alberni automatic in Nanaimo rebuilt my sons I think it was around 6500 last year, shopped around by far the best price. New torque converter and a bunch of other stuff. Sounds like a killer is going slow under 50 kilometres the tranny doesn’t lock up and creates heat. I least that’s what I’ve heard. Don’t own a Dodge truck but love the Cummins, sounds like the brand new Dodges have gotten a big upgrade on their trannies. If that’s the case major game changer as it seems that’s the only weak point on the Deisel dodge trucks.
