HELP!!! I'M BEING INVADED FROM INDIA :eek:

Help!!! I'm being invaded from india

For the last year I have been inundated with calls from a boiler room in India or ?.The other night I recieved a call at 10pm,my 1st response was to look at the # displayed on the phone to see who in Sam Heck was calling at 10pm - no luck it's a private #.The callers start with the usuall greeting saying they're from Microsoft or Windows offering me some of quick fix with my not so broken computer.Lately I've taken to stringing them along -knowing full well it's a rouse, I try to run up their phone bill.
My question is - has anyone tried to punish these crooks?

I usually ask them dumb questions and waste their time then tell them I don't have a computer.. If I am bored
 
My GF's Mom who is VERY naive had her PC all messed up by a call like that. I just shook my head and gave her a stern talking to and telling her NEVER to engage these guys.

As far as punishing....if they're offshore I don't know if there is much that can be done.


As I tell people like my GF's mother.......if the number is "unknown" don't even bother answering it.
 
They called me to. From 3 different numbers, Everytime I told them I wasn't interested, the same woman would call back from a different number. Finally I told her to eff off and leave me alone because my kid is sleeping and it's 9:00pm here. She finally got the point and didn't call back.
 
Got one a couple of days ago... Put on my best Pakistani accent (and I can do a pretty good one) and thanked them profusely, but said they didnt need to call as I talked to the nice man from Microsoft that promised me a new computer if I gave him my bank information. So I did not need him to help me-- but told him to be sure to call back later as I wanted him to find my sister in Lahore! This went on for about 5 min with me thanking his company profusely for promising to send a new computer. He kept repeating that he wanted to help with my computer, it was a hoot-- My wife was nearly rolling on the floor laughing so much!
 
Just a hint guys if you want to work things backwards.....google the phone number if one comes up on your display. From there you will generally find a "forum" type chat message in your first 5 or 6 search hits on google. Read through them as quite often someone will have found out the company and they'll be information on them.
 
Lol CL, that was pretty much how I handed the last call from them.. I went on to say my computer was down after giving the last guy a bunch of cash.. there was a pause for a moment another guy answers - with slightly better english skills? he says "i'm here to help you" "how much do you pay the man" I answered - LMAO enough to keep your family in rice for years.He laughed and said Gosh you could've bought a new machine!

I just give the phone to my 6 year old daughter who just loves to talk to anyone who will listen, and she can talk. they never call back later I don't know why
