Looks like they are warning about the resident Chinook.
It is strange that they say there are no meal restrictions for non-resident salmon, but still you should only eat it 2-3 times a week.
The American Heart Assoc. recommends at least 2 servings a week.
The resident Chinook are eating nasty stuff apparently.
Watched a documentary last night on the relocation of a young killer whale, they stated that killer whales between Alaska and Washington are the worlds most contaminated mammal due to PCB's through the food chain.
So in a nut shell .. winter springs are high in mercury and it's probably not a good idea to eat them.
That's a shame and say's something as to where we are heading.
If BC plans for coal export continue we should expect the problem to get worse.
Wonder what it's going to take for people to start to connect the dots?
Sad day's ahead for the next generation of anglers.

Sad stuff! Halibut being bottom feeders will be on this list as well - sucks. Time to start taking care of the environment.
Can you imagine what it will be like if we have a tar sands oil tanker spill!!!! Time to voice your concerns about the Northern Gateway and other pipeline projects to our politicians. My 2 bits.
