The pod is nice if it will get rid of a dog house and free up some deck space. You won't gain much deck space on that boat with a pod, but I guess you'd have a big storage compartment. I don't think it's worth it on whatever that boat is (striper? Pursuit?)

thats a 2460 Pursuit and is an i/o express that has the same hull as the well regarded 2470 Pursuit WA outboard. The doghouse doesnt really take away from a pretty big dance floor, but the doghouse element aft of the seating area certainly represents challeges.....as to what to store in it, or how to remove and fiberglass something else. I imagine the cost of podding and adding a nice F250 or F300 and requisite controls/cables far exceeds the crate engine replacement route by a significant margin. DAJ

There's a striper a guy podded a few years back that had that type of transom layout. It looked absurd with a pod and you don't gain useable deck space. Not to mention you'd get fish in your props all the time. Sell that pursuit and buy a 2470 if you want outboards.

A buddy of mine had one just like that podded it and did a huge fiberglass refit as he moved the back seat etc and put a fish locker in its place, Cost major $$$$$$ not a good one to pod IMO

I've never fished out of a podded boat, but I have to ask, can you guys make turns if your DR has any kind of blowback? I'd think your gear would potentially end up in your prop.

I had a 2470 ,probably the same vintage with a 225 Yamaha. It rode OK,but this will probably ride better with the inboard configuration, weight down low.I agree with others,it makes no sense to pod this one. Looks like this one has fuel tank access, big plus, some of their models didn't.

I’ll forward him your reply.
