I installed the link app to try controlling the Lowrance from my phone. Not because it is useful but cause I can.
Have found it to not really be all the useful anyways. The lag is pretty bad in connecting, and just makes little to no sense to use it. Also the sounder screen mirrored on my phone does not rotate with the phone so it uses a small fraction of the screen.
Anyone else using it and having success?
The sounder is brand new, and the phone is less than a year old with updated ios. Really see no reason why there should be any lag at all.
I thought if it worked perfectly I could take my kids ipad on the boat and turn the HDS7 into a virtual HDS 10.2 using the ipad instead. Might not work as planned!
