Has anyone ever seen / used one of these?

They seem to be really popular in Northern California and look like they work. They are called a dredge. Seem like it is meant to mimic a school of squid and you run whatever you want off of them...

I believe they attached to your downrigger ball
might be good for sockeye rather then dummy flashers??

Well they definitely use them for salmon down south and run them off their mainline. Apparently they do not have enough drag to pop off the rigger clip...

Wow--I can already see all those little plastic things getting sucked into the prop of my kicker motor....

It's tough enough keeping my dummy flashers out of the prop....

It's close to smiler type of that ...I wish I had those are things but I don't have them.. This for hook up a down rigger. . I think 6 or 8 glow fish to the end to hook up 10 - 15 lbs cannon ball on it.
