Halibut Limits

Any scuttlebutt on the halibut limits,, if they might get increased.. and maybe when.. or is it going to stay at One.

look's like one for now, however it will likely extend our season
as the T.A.C.will not be reached as quickly.

i talked to a fisheries officer two weeks ago he told me they want to keep it at one so we can make it till the end of of august. doesnt make sense but thats what he said

Did anyone really think they'd re-open it for two once it had been reduced to one? Fat Chance methinks! [V]

Some knew it was going to be just at 1, And alot on here tried to warn you but everyone figured it was going to open GUESS what it isnt and its only going to get worse you guys so learn to live with it next year get ready for salmon closeures and even more halibut crap if you want to learn more get a hold of Chris Bos himself and ask to meet him he will paint you a NOT so rosy future for us in the "sport fishing" world.

So enjoy this summer as its good and expect halibut to close soon.
one would think and you can thank the federal government for that.
