Find someone with some stainless steel piano hinge and ask for 3 pieces 2 1/2" long. Replace the originals with these and your golden.

Amazing how they can ask $200 for a cooler and then use hinges that Rubbermaid wouldn't put on a $50 tote.

Igloo does proudly announce they use stainless screws to attach their POS hinges.
