Had a great morning out fishing with my son and a buddy today. We landed an 11, 12 and 14 and lost 1 other fish all before 8 am at Secretary.
We also picked a few nice crabs out of the pots on the way in.
The 12 and 14 were the 1st double header that I've had in my boat[8D]
ANyone else get out?

Fished Beechy Head and the Trap today with the approx. 3,562 other boats. LOL! Caught 1 around 10lb and 1 other hit. Saw lots of 10 to 15 lb fish on the dock. Saw and heard of a few high 20 and low 30's from the trap. Decent day of fishing.
Should have been more fish for the number of boats.

Oh ya... Just a tip to everyone. Tie your boat to your trailer with your bow line as a safety and don't untie it until the boat is at the water. The bow cleat that I hook my trailer winch to broke off today as I was launching.:( If I did not have the bow line tied down my boat would have been on the pavement!![:0][B)] I see people untie them before backing down the ramp all the time.

Tips.

good advice... should use tiedowns at the rear as well.
i've seen a few boats being towed with nothing but the winch
line holding the boat on[V]

have also seen what the road can do to a nice fibreglass
hull [xx(]

Saw a guy at renfrew last year pulling out at the dirt launch at the native dock at low tide...was about 10 feet foreward and the boat went sliding off the back and teetered at the pivot point 1/2 off the trailer...leg berried into the gravel. all he could do was wait for the tide to come in. that leg must have been damaged. the scene made me cringe.

I dragged my volvo 280 leg up the ramp at ambleside one time lucky for me it just took a little off the skegg forgot to lift it up I did

Oh well it can happen to any of us, laugh at some one else's miss fortune and the gods will punish you. At least thats my theory!
