HI, finally getting a chance to do some boating and a little fishing around Sooke. I have a Humminbird 859 that needs a nav card or chip- unsure of the lingo. What brands do you prefer and why? Thank you in advance and hope to see some of y'all real soon.

Most use navionics. It will work well for you in sooke

Thank you SteelyDan, looks like it's the way to go. I thought Navionics was just a phone app. I am happily wrong. 9 more sleeps, 9 more get-ups.

Picked up my copy today, $215 at GPS Central here in Cowtown, not cheap but sure looks impressive. Really getting revved about getting out there, Yeehah!

Be sure to keep your hardware and software updated. To update Navionics annually isn't cheap either but a necessity..
