Thanks Carl. All is, and has been, good. I have just been so busy with work and family and various other "projects" including installation of new Sunbrella canvas on the boat, a haul out, pwr trim motor replacement and usual maintenance on main and kicker.
I do keep in contact with Sushihunter and he mentioned recently I should get back on here, especially topics re: the Halibut Allocation issue. I won't get into detail here but I have written letters as have our association members (BCSFGA). Some members attended the BC Sportfishing Coalition halibut town hall meeting to address the issue. While there are only a few who have landed Halibut here in Vancouver waters (and likely it will never be a common occurance) thats certainly no reason not to fight for changes to the allocation policy. I hope that all will fight this issue out of general principle alone ( and the president it could set for other fisheries!). I will likely be writing in the political area of this site but I feel my energy spent on this topic perhaps would be better spent elsewhere. Enough of that for the moment..... nice to hear from you Carl. Hope all is well with you too.
